Reclaiming degraded land to green land
is one of the most rewarding experiences
We believe soil erosion in Haiti and elsewhere
in the world will become a story of the past
While reforestation has mostly focused on trees, our game changer solution is planting deep-rooted grasses that are not harvested for charcoal. The grasses we have planted have remained intact after several hurricanes and are reducing mudslides. Proactive disaster reduction measures such as our initiative to plant grasses, results in huge savings
Once we have established the grasses and conducted extensive education, the
locals plant trees in the established grasslands, achieving the reforestation in Haiti.
Grasses are the foundation
solution to all the problems

Reversing erosion across the entire country has been described as a pipeline dream, one which has been unsuccessfully attempted in Haiti for the past 50 years. The road towards achieving this goal is bumpy in many ways.

bees and butterflies in Haiti. The project has restored hundreds of acres of
eroded lands into green lands.
